How the assessment works

Questions are drawn from a larger bank, so attempts differ.

No webcam or microphone is required, and there is no proctoring. Sit it online from anywhere, at any time — you need a stable connection and a laptop or desktop, which the timed navigation is built for.

Questions

What is the AGZIT Certified Fraud Prevention Analyst (AGZIT-FPA)?
A professional credential showing that you can prevent, detect, investigate and respond to fraud in a bank, fintech or payments firm. It is awarded on passing the final assessment.
Is this an anti-fraud certification I can take online?
Yes. You study the guide online at your own pace, take the practice quiz, then sit the final assessment online. Study is free; you pay for the certificate only after you pass.
Who is the anti-fraud certification for?
Fraud analysts, investigators, operations and risk professionals, compliance officers, payments and product managers, and people moving into fraud work at a bank, fintech or payments firm. No law degree or prior certification is needed.
What types of fraud does the course cover?
Authorised push payment scams, account takeover, money mule accounts, card fraud, synthetic identity, application and first-party fraud, business email compromise, cheque and deposit fraud, and internal, vendor and third-party fraud.
Does the course teach how to commit fraud?
No. It explains how schemes work from the victim's and the institution's point of view, what the red flags are and what a sound response looks like. It gives no instructions for committing or concealing fraud.
What does the final assessment look like?
Fifty scenario-based questions drawn from a larger bank, 60 minutes, a pass mark of 70% and 2 attempts. The questions test decisions, not memory.
How is this different from an investment fraud course?
AGZIT-FPA is about the institution: how a bank, fintech or payments firm prevents, detects and responds to fraud. The AGZIT Certified Investment Fraud Specialist looks at fraud from the investor's side.
Does the course give legal advice?
No. It teaches how the main loss-allocation regimes work and how to reason about them. It cannot tell you what your organisation must do, and it does not replace advice from a qualified professional.
How can an employer verify my certificate?
Every certificate carries a unique ID. Anyone can check it at app.agzit.com/verify without an account.
